Becki Norment requested that some <br />screening provisions be placed in the draft at least until a full screening <br />ordinance could be written. She also requested that provisions <br />regarding trash containers also be included. <br />6. Review and consider upcoming grant possibilities. The HPO provided the <br />Commissioners with several upcoming grants. After discussion, the <br />Commission agreed to apply for a THC grant to update its design guidelines <br />and to look for grants that could be used to help renovate the Grand Theater. <br />7. Receipt of report from the Historic Preservation Officer. The HPO handed out <br />the attached report. <br />8. Request items from Board for future agendas. The Commission requested a <br />ruling from the Legal Department on demolition by neglect. Arvin Starrett <br />advised that some terms were going to expire in July, so Commissioners <br />should contact the City if they want to continue to serve. Paul Denney <br />requested that an item regarding a fund - raisers for facade grants for <br />canopies. <br />9.
