MINUTES <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />CITY OF PARIS HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION <br />CITY HALL WEST ANNEX <br />CONFERENCE ROOM <br />150 1ST STREET S.E. <br />PARIS, TEXAS <br />MONDAY, NOVEMBER 28, 2005 <br />4:00 O'CLOCK P.M. <br />1. The Historic Preservation Commission meeting was called to order by <br />Chairman Arvin Starrett at 4:00 P.M. <br />A. The following members were present: <br />Barbara Wilson, Vice Chairman <br />Jerry Raper <br />Paul Denney <br />Sue Lancaster <br />Ann Rogers, Secretary <br />Alternate: Claudia Hunt <br />The following members were absent: <br />Alternates: Brian Wear <br />Becki Norment <br />B. Also present were Lisa Wright, Historic Preservation Officer; Bethany <br />Golden, Main Street Coordinator; Charles Richards, The Paris News; <br />and Suzy Harper. <br />2. Approve minutes from previous meetings. Motion to approve the minutes as <br />amended from the November 9, 2005, meeting was made by Sue Lancaster, <br />seconded by Barbara Wilson. Motion carried 7 -0. <br />3. Consideration of and action on the following Certificates ofAppropriateness: <br />A. 28 W. Plaza - Michelle's Craft Supplies by Alex Pickering, Designated <br />Agent. Alex Pickering stated that the colors presented were the same <br />as ones previously approved with a red band. The border will be a gold <br />leaf with scroll work. Motion was made to approved the COA by <br />Barbara Wilson, seconded by Sue Lancaster. Motion carried 7 -0. <br />B. 574 Church Street - Kelly and Melissa Wickersham. Melissa <br />Wickersham wants to replace wood balcony rail and column with <br />wrought iron. The bottom columns were set too far back. Mr. Starrett <br />advised Ms. Wickersham that all residences in the Church /South Main <br />
