<br />Paris Economic Development Corporation <br />Meeting Minutes <br />October 9, 2006 <br /> <br />Board Members <br />Present: Sims Norment <br />Rodney Bass <br />John Wright <br />Dick Severson <br />Glenn Bawcum <br /> <br />Board Members <br />Absent: <br /> <br />Ex-officio Members <br />Present: Tony Williams <br /> <br />Staff Present: Mindy Moree <br /> <br />Guest <br />Present: <br /> <br />Jamie Fussell <br />Renee Harvey <br /> <br />President Sims Norment called the meeting to order at 4:05. <br /> <br />Minutes from September 25, 2006 meeting were approved on a <br />motion made by Rodney Bass seconded by Glenn Bawcum. <br /> <br />Sims Norment reported that due to no meeting being held in July, the <br />new officers needed to be appointed at this time. Dick Severson made a <br />motion for Sims Norment to be re-elected as President and the motion <br />passed on a second by John Wright. Glenn Bawcum made a motion that <br />John Wright be elected as Vice President and the motion passed on a second <br />by Rodney Bass. Dick Severson was nominated by Rodney Bass to be re- <br />elected as Treasurer and the motion passed on a second by John Wright. <br /> <br />Sims Norment reported on the various proposals from Pace Group, <br />Johnson and Associates, Jorgenson, and the Quantum Group. <br />Rodney Bass asked Mr. Norment if all the references had been contacted. <br />Mr. Norment said that all of the references from each of the proposed <br />consulting firms had been contacted. Mr. Norment also reported that out of <br />the four groups, the Pace Group had glowing references as well as a history <br />in Paris. <br />
