MINUTES
TRAFFIC COMMISSION
City of Paris
The Traffic Commission met in regular session Tuesday, July 1, 2003 at 5:15
P.M. in the Municipal Court Room with the following members present:
1. Ed Ellis
2. George Robinson
3. Ed Seidle
4. Jon McFadden
5. Rickey Macky
6. George Fisher
7. George Kimbrough
The City Staff was represented by Assistant Police Chief James Barnett.
The meeting was called to order at 5:16 P.M. by Chairman George Robinson.
The minutes of the May 6, 2003, meeting were approved as submitted.
The first item of business was a request for Stop Signs on 10' /11th NW at
Cherry Street, stopping North and South bound traffic on 10th/1 Ith at West
Cherry.
Chief Barnett said that this request came from a citizen who said he had
almost been hit on two different occasions at this intersection. Police
Department record showed no reported accidents at the intersection in the
past two (2) years.
After discussion Ed Seidle made a motion that the request be denied. The
motion was seconded by George Fisher and the motion carried 6 ayes to 0
nays, with Ed Ellis not voting since he felt there might be a conflict of
interest for him.
The second item was a request for a Stop Sign on 5' Street SW at West
Sherman Street, stopping South bound traffic at West Sherman.
