MINUTES <br />TRAFFIC COMMISSION <br />City of Paris <br />The Traffic Commission met in regular session, Tuesday, April 6, 2004, at <br />5:15 P.M. in the municipal court room with the following members present: <br />1. Ed Ellis 4. Mary Lane <br />2. George Robinson 5. Ed Seidle <br />3. George Kimbrough <br />The city staff was represented by Chief of Police Karl Louis and Assistant <br />Chief of Police James Barnett. <br />Chairman George Robinson called the meeting to order at 5:15 P.M. <br />The Minutes of the February 3, 2004, meeting were approved as submitted. <br />Consideration of a request for turn lanes to be installed on North Collegiate <br />Drive at various intersections were the topic. Ed Ellis made a motions that <br />the requests at the intersections be combined. Mary Lane seconded and the <br />motion carried 5 ayes to 0 nays. <br />Chief Louis explained the reason for the requests was the fact that traffic was <br />backing up on Collegiate at Pine Mill Road and E. Cherry Street. He and the <br />City Engineer and Director of Public Works had studied the problem and felt <br />that turn lanes would help keep the traffic moving. A map was presented <br />showing the turn lanes. <br />After discussion Ed Ellis made a motion that turn lanes be installed <br />beginning 100 ft. South of East Cherry Street, North to 100 ft. North of <br />Ridgeview Drive, and on Pine Mill Road, beginning 100 ft. East of <br />Collegiate Drive, West to Collegiate Drive. Ed Seidle seconded and the <br />motion carried 5 ayes to 0 nays. <br />
