MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE PLANNING AND <br />ZONING COMNIISSION <br />MAY 63 2002 <br />The Planning and Zoning Commission met Monday, May 6,2002,5:30 P.M., <br />Paris Junior College, Applied Technology Building, Room 1016, 2400 <br />Clarksville Street, Paris, Texas with the following members present: <br />1. Reeves Hayter <br />2. Marshall Kent <br />3. Eddie Vincent <br />4. Bill Coleman <br />5. Curtis Fendley <br />Steve Methven, the building official was also present. <br />The meeting was called to order by Reeves Hayter., <br />1. The minutes from the April 1, 2002, regular planning and zoning <br />meetings were approved with a motion by Curtis Fendley and <br />seconded by Bill Coleman. Motion carried by a vote of 5 ayes and 0 <br />nays. <br />2. Public Hearing to consider the petition of Jeremy Newberry for a <br />change in zoning from an Agricultural (A) District to a Commercial (C) <br />District With Specific Use Permit (52) Billboards, Lot 4, City Block341, <br />being the 3800 Block S. Church Street. <br />The public hearing was declared open. <br />Jeremy Newberry spoke in favor of the petition stating that he wants to <br />build a mono pole type billboard sign that meets all city and state <br />regulations. <br />There was no opposition, the public hearing was declared closed. <br />3. Consideration of and action on the petition of Jeremy Newberry for a <br />change in zoning from an Agricultural (A) District to a Commercial (C) <br />
