MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE PLANNING AND <br />ZONING COMMISSION <br />JANUARY 3, 2005 <br />The Planning and Zoning Commission met Monday, January 3,2005,5:30, <br />Lamar County Fairgrounds, Westside Building, 570 E. Center Street, <br />Paris, Texas with the following members present: <br />1. Reeves Hayter <br />2. Cleveland Thomas <br />3. Bobby Myers <br />4. Barbara Forrest <br />5. <br />Marshall Kent <br />6. <br />Carl Lucas <br />7. <br />Benny Plata <br />8. <br />Brad Archer <br />Lisa Wright, the Director of Community Development, was also present. <br />1. The meeting was called to order by Reeves Hayter at 5:30 p.m. <br />2. The minutes from the December 6, 2004 and December 13, 2004, <br />meeting were approved with a motion by Bobby Myers, seconded by <br />Carl Lucas. Motion carried by a vote of 8 ayes and 0 nays. <br />3. Public Hearing to consider the petition of Brad Drake for a change in <br />zoning from a Commercial District (C) to a Light Industrial District <br />(LI) on Lot 27 -A, City Block 251, being located at 205 Loop 286 NW. <br />The public hearing was declared open. <br />There was no one present to speak in favor of the petition. <br />Irvin Simpson, 825 30th Street NE, stated that the only concern is <br />drainage. Triple A's parking lot drains onto his property, but it was <br />determined that Mr. Simpson's property is on the opposite side of the <br />Loop from this, so this is not an issue. Mr. Simpson stated he did not <br />have an opposition, then. <br />There was no opposition, the public hearing was declared closed. <br />
