Discussion of the value of having a member or members of the board <br />appointed to attend City Council meetings to answer any questions that the <br />council might have regarding recommendations made by the AirportAdvisory <br />Board: <br />It was decided the chairman would select one or more members to attend the <br />council meetings rather than appoint a sub - committee. <br />VI. Discussion on the value of asking the city to invite TxDotto come to Paris and <br />to present their program concerning the value of municipal airports to cities <br />and communities: <br />The board also recommends the city council be invited to attend the TXDot <br />Regional Planning Meeting at the Lamar County Chamber of Commerce on <br />March 28, 2001. The board approves these items by a unanimous vote. <br />VII. Discussion on the establishment of a firm policy regarding the collection and <br />payment of the hangar rent at Cox Field: <br />It appears several individuals are consistently from one to several months late <br />in paying the rental fee of their hangars. This is an inconvenience to the city <br />and certainly not considered good business practice. Mr. Haynes and Jim <br />Collier do not see this as a problem. This item was tabled as Mr. Haynes <br />wishes to discuss with the city attorney regarding the legal eviction of late <br />rental payers. <br />VIII. Discussion on the construction and rental of additional `T' hangars at Cox <br />Field: <br />The board recommends the city council be again informed that there are <br />fourteen people on the waiting list for a hangar at Cox Field. The board again <br />recommends the city construct at least seven more `T' hangars as soon as <br />possible. <br />IX. Discussion on the policy for the construction and lease of private hangars at <br />Cox Field: <br />It was explained by Mr. Haynes that the City Attorney is reviewing a new lease <br />agreement. The Advisory Board asks thatthe city comply with Resolution No. <br />96 -011 and that the City Attorney give the board an opportunity to make <br />recommendations to the City Council concerning terms of the lease. <br />The board recommends that the city comply with Resolution 96 -011 as it <br />outlines the lease terms and that any considered changes be given to the <br />Advisory Board for a chance to make recommendations prior to the next city <br />
