Airport Advisory Board
December 18, 2001
Page 2
V. City Council Action of January 14, 2002, Regarding Tenant Policy
for New Hangars:
Mr. Haynes reported that planes can be expected to move into the
new hangars as each person on the list is contacted in the next week
or so. Mr. Haynes will contact each person on the Closed Hangar
List in order. He will ask each person to pick the hangar and then
sign that he wants the hangar or declines.
VI. Discussion of Self- Service Fuel System:
Mr. Kosterman explained that almost all of the airports within 80
miles of Paris have self - service fueling facilities. The FBO at Cox
Field has solicited two bids for a self - service system. Both bids were
considered too high. It becomes more apparent that Cox Field should
seek a way to get a self - service fuel system installed in order to stay
competitive. The FBO is going to contact some companies that install
these systems and try to get an acceptable bid.
VII. Recommended Agenda Items for the Next Board Meeting:
A. Self- service fuel system
B. Private hangar lease agreement
C. Access road on northeast part of Cox Field
IX. The meeting was adjourned at 6:40 p.m.
J. W. Ashmore, Recorder
I
