MINUTES
REGULAR MEETING
AIRPORT ADVISORY BOARD
COX FIELD AIRPORT TERMINAL
MEETING ROOM
PARIS, TEXAS
THURSDAY, OCTOBER 12, 2006
5:30 O'CLOCK P.M.
1. The Airport Advisory Board meeting was called to order by Chairman Vic
Ressler.
A. The following members were present:
Vic Ressler
Glen Chapman
Bill Boothe
Jack Ashmore
Harry Michaelwicz
Ronnie Ballard
Andrew Fasken
The following members were absent: None
B. Also present was Lisa Wright, Airport Director; and Jerry Richey,
Airport Manager.
2. Approval of minutes from previous meetings. (September 21, 2006). Motion
was made to approve by Ronnie Ballard, seconded by Bill Boothe. Motion
carried 7 -0.
3. Continued discussion of and possible action on hangar lease rates. Lisa
Wright advised that Meagan Caffall with TxDOt thought the current lease rates
were a little low, but not by much. She said if the rates were in place more
than 5 years there would be justification in raising the rates a little to reflect
the current CPI. The rates need to be more in line with everyone else since
federal money is being received for the hangars. Lisa Wright stated that at
least the new hangar lease rates would need to be higher. Motion was made
by Andy Fasken, seconded by Harry Michaelwicz, for a 7'/2% increase based
upon a survey of rates at other airports and consultation with the FAA. Motion
carried 7 -0.
4. Discussion of activities for the Sixth Annual Festival of Pumpkins. Jack
Ashmore stated he would prefer to run the planes down Lamar Avenue. Jack
would like for Jerry Richey to start a list of volunteers. Once the list is
received, Jack can determine the order of the flight. Jack will map the flight
