MINUTES <br />The Board of Adjustment meeting was called to order by Chairman Terry <br />Christian at 12:00 p.m. <br />A. The following members were present: <br />Terry Christian, Chairman <br />Kyle McCarley <br />Chester Martindale <br />Alternate: David Glass <br />B. The following members were absent: <br />Rodney Bass, Vice Chairman <br />Howard Corriston <br />Alternate: Louis Yates <br />C. Also present was Lisa A. Wright, Community Development Director. <br />2. Approval of minutes from previous meetings. Motion to approve the minutes <br />of the January 8, 2008, meeting was made by David Glass, seconded by <br />Chester Martindale. Motion carried 4 -0. <br />3. Public hearing to consider the petition of We Pack Logistics to grant a <br />variance of Zoning Ordinance No. 1710, Section 10- 102(1) to reduce the <br />required number of parking spaces from "one (1) space for each two (2) <br />employees or one (1) space for each one thousand (1,000) square feet of floor <br />area, whichever is larger," to one (1) space for each three thousand (3,000) <br />square feet of floor area, on Lot 5, Block A, Southwest Industrial Addition, <br />being number 2300 13'h Street S.W. <br />The public hearing was declared open. <br />Holland Harper, We Pack Logistics, spoke in favor of the petition. Mr. Harper <br />stated they currently have 146 parking spaces and they really need 230. <br />They're planning on some modifications to the building, and they will not be <br />able to get their building permit unless they bring the parking space number <br />to code; however, true code requires far more spaces than they'll ever need. <br />No one spoke in opposition. <br />Public hearing was declared closed. <br />4. Consideration of and action on the petition of We Pack Logistics to grant a <br />variance of Zoning Ordinance No. 1710, Section 10 -102(0 to reduce the <br />required number of parking spaces from "one (1) space for each two (2) <br />
