MINUTES <br />SPECIAL MEETING <br />CITY OF PARIS BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT <br />CITY OF PARIS - CITY HALL <br />COUNCIL CHAMBERS <br />107 E. KAUFMAN STREET <br />PARIS, TEXAS <br />MONDAY, MARCH 23, 2009 <br />12:00 O'CLOCK P.M. <br />1. The Board of Adjustment meeting was called to order by Chairman Terry Christian at <br />12:10 p.m. <br />B. The following members were present: <br />Terry Christian, Chairman <br />Chester Martindale <br />Kyle McCarley <br />David Glass <br />C. The following members were absent: <br />Howard Corriston <br />Louis Yates <br />C. Also present was Jeanna Scott, Administrative Assistant. <br />2. Approval of minutes from previous meetings. Motion to approve the minutes of the <br />February 23, 2009, meeting was made by David Glass, seconded by Kyle McCarley. <br />Motion carried 4 -0. <br />3. Public hearing and consideration of and action on the petition of Cunningham Equipment, <br />Co. to grant a variance of'Section 28 -23(1) of the Sign Ordinance which provides that "the <br />total area per face of an attached sign shall not exceed one (1) square, foot of face area per <br />front. foot of leased or occupied. fascia length, " to allow 1.33 square foot of face area per <br />front foot of occupied fascia length, which is a .33 square. foot per front foot variance, on <br />Lot 12, City Block 170 A, being number 2280 S. Church Street. <br />Public hearing was declared open. <br />The following individuals spoke in favor. <br />Roy Cunningham, 2935 Hubbard, Owner — Spoke in favor of the petition. Mr. <br />Cunningham stated Holland requiring the new sign package to maintain franchise. <br />No one spoke in opposition. <br />
