station will consist of 3 aisles and a 117 square foot kiosk. They are doing this as <br />an added service for their customers. <br />Gerald representative with Kroger, 1331 Airport Freeway, Dallas, Texas, spoke in <br />favor of the petition. Kroger is initiating customer first program, in doing this <br />Kroger is adding gas station pumps to a lot of their locations. This will not be their <br />sole business, but an added benefit for the customer. <br />B. The following individuals spoke in opposition of the petition. <br />Richard Eubanks, 345 12th Street S.E., spoke in opposition to the petition. Mr. <br />Eubanks stated his property lines up with the front of the Kroger store. Mr. <br />Eubanks is concerned about the additional traffic, noise and drainage that may <br />occur. <br />Public hearing was declared closed. <br />Shawn Napier, Director of Engineering, Planning and Development stated Kroger <br />had just turned in a variance request on the R.O.W. requirement. This will alter <br />how many spaces they may need. The Council will hear the request on the second <br />Monday of September. <br />Motion was made by Chester Martindale, seconded by Rick Hundley to table this <br />item until after the City Council renders a decision on the variance.
