Lamar County Multi- Jurisdictional Hazard Mitigation Plan <br />Chapter Five <br />5.7 Continued Public Participation <br />While the HMPT represents the public to some extent, the public will be able to directly <br />comment on and provide feedback about the paln. Lamar County is dedicated to generating <br />public interest in the updates of the Multi- Jurisdictional Hazard Mitigation Paln. Efforts to do so <br />may include: <br />Distributing information about the existence and purpose of the Hazard Mitigation Plan to <br />community groups, units of County government, and other public gatherings <br />Questionnaires may periodically being made available to the public to collect information <br />on what mitigation activities the citizens would like to see implemented <br />Posting information about the Hazard Mitigation Plan on the County's Web Page, along <br />with an email address for questions and input. <br />Listed below is the address and phone number of the County Emergency Management Director, <br />who is responsible for keeping track of public comments on the plan. Copies of the plan will <br />bew kept at the County Department of Emergency Management and at the County Clerk's <br />office, where the public can review the plan. The public will also be invited to and included in , <br />the HMPT's annual evaluation fo the Plan.
