Item No. 10 memorandum TO: Mayor & City Council John Godwin, City Manager FROM: Jerry McDaniel, Public Works Director SUBJECT: STREET MATERIALS ANNUAL BID/REBID FOR FLEXIBLE BASE MATERIAL (RED ROCK TYPE A DATE: February 22, 2017 BACKGROUND: This is the annual bid for roadway materials to be used by the Street, Water Distribution, Sewer Maintenance, and Parks Divisions. The material competitively bid includes Flexible Base Material Red Rock. STATUS OF ISSUE: The City of Paris Public Works Department has received sealed bids for street materials and would like to award bids to the lowest bidder for each material. The bid tabulation sheet is attached for details of the bids and materials, with low bids highlighted. Three vendors were directly solicited; three vendors provided low bids for Flexible Base Material (Red Rock) Type A. BUDGET: Monies are budgeted in the Street, Water Distribution, Sewer Maintenance, and Park Divisions. RECOMMENDATION: Award bid as indicated in attachment.
