Paris Public Library Advisory Board <br />Meeting Minutes <br />January 18, 2017 <br />Opening: <br />The regular meeting of the Paris Public Library Advisory Board was called to order at 4:OOpm by Fran <br />Neeley. <br />Attendance: <br />Board members in attendance were Fran Neeley, Carol James, Michelle Cowling, Denise Kornegay, <br />and director Priscilla McAnally. Connie Dodd, Rebecca Umphrey, and Daisy Harvill were absent. <br />Approval of Minutes: <br />The minutes of the November meeting were unanimously approved as printed. <br />I. New Business: <br />None <br />II. Old Business: <br />None <br />III. Presentations <br />a. Budget Report. Expenditures are on target for this year with 34% of the materials <br />budget spent within the first quarter of the fiscal year. <br />b. Statistical Report. Slight decreases again this month in Circulation (- 6.54 %) and <br />Visits (- 9.59 %). Increases were in juvenile book circulation, eBooks, downloadable <br />audios, and Interlibrary Loans. <br />IV. Friends of the Library: <br />No report <br />V. Director's Remarks: <br />A new grounds maintenance contractor is doing a great job in planting flowers and keeping <br />the grounds around the library. The grounds look very nice. <br />Priscilla is weeding in the fiction collection and in large print fiction. <br />Pajama Story Time that was held in December was very successful.
