MINUTES OF THE REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS <br />February 13, 2017 <br />The City Council of the City of Paris met for a regular session at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, <br />February 13, 2017, at the City Council Chamber, 107 E. Kaufman, Paris, Texas. <br />Present: Mayor: A.J. Hashmi <br />Council Members: Billie Lancaster; Aaron Jenkins; Billy Trenado; <br />Steve Clifford; Matt Frierson; and Cleonne Drake <br />City Staff: John Godwin, City Manager; Stephanie Harris, City <br />Attorney; Janice Ellis, City Clerk; Gene Anderson, <br />Finance Director; Carla Easton, City Engineer; <br />Larry Wright, Fire Chief; Bob Hundley Police <br />Chief; Kent Klinkerman, EMS Director; Doug <br />Harris, Utilities Director; Jerry McDaniel, Public <br />Works Director; and Clyde Crews, Fire Marshal <br />Ouening Asenda <br />Call meeting to order. <br />Mayor Hashmi called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m. <br />2. Invocation. <br />Reverend Slaughter gave the invocation. <br />3. Pledge of Allegiance. <br />Council Member Lancaster led the pledge. <br />4. Citizens' Forum. <br />Mark Rothfuss, 2810 Willow Bend, representative of Archers for Christ — he presented to <br />the city attorney photographs taken at Lake Crook on Sunday. Mr. Rothfuss said they were only <br />missing about three signs and there were only about three months of out of the year the area was <br />closed for hunting, and that was due to liability issues. Mr. Rothfuss did say they were open to <br />the public during that time but only with a pass. <br />Dick Harvey, 12751 FM 195 — he said he did not know if Mr. Rothfuss used the main <br />entrance, but that he and his son had been going out there for about 4 years and there was no <br />signage at the front entrance. He also provided the city attorney with photographs. Mr. Harvey <br />said he and his son were riding horses on public property when issued a warning by the game <br />warden for criminal trespass. Mr. Harvey said this was not about him and his son, but about the <br />
