<br />(2) Requirements for termination - Stage 5 of the Plan may be rescinded <br />when all of the conditions listed as triggering events have ceased to exist. <br /> <br />(g) Stage 6 Triggers - Water Allocation <br /> <br />(1) Requirements for initiation - Retail water customers shall be required to <br />comply with the water allocation plan prescribed in Section 34-159 of <br />this Article and comply with the requirements and restrictions on certain <br />water uses defined in Section 34-156 of the Article for Stage 5 of the <br />Plan when the following triggering events exist: <br /> <br />a. Major water line breaks, electrical power failures, or pump or <br />system failures occur which cause unprecedented loss of capability <br />to provide water service; or <br /> <br />b. Natural or man-made contamination of the water supply sources(s). <br /> <br />(2) Requirements for termination - Water allocation may be rescinded when <br />all of the conditions listed as triggering events have ceased to exist. <br /> <br />"Sec.34-158. Drought Response Stages <br /> <br />(a) General <br /> <br />The City Manager, or his/her designee, shall monitor water supply and/or <br />demand conditions on a daily basis and, in accordance with the triggering criteria set <br />forth in Section 34-157 of this Article, shall determine that a mild, moderate, severe, <br />critical, emergency or water shortage condition exists and shall implement the <br />following notification procedures: <br /> <br />(1) Notification of the Public - The City Manager or his/ her designee <br />shall notify the public by means of publication in a newspaper of <br />general circulation, public service announcements, and signs posted in <br />public places. <br /> <br />(2) Additional Notification - The City Manager or his/her designee shall <br />notify directly, or cause to be notified directly, the following <br />individuals and entities: <br /> <br />Mayor and members of the City Council <br />Fire Chief <br />City and County Emergency Management Coordinator(s) <br />County Judge & Commissioner(s) <br />Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) <br /> <br />-8- <br />
