MINUTES OF THE REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS <br />April 10, 2017 <br />The City Council of the City of Paris met for a regular session at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, <br />April 10, 2017, at the City Council Chamber, 107 E. Kaufman, Paris, Texas. <br />Present: Mayor: A.J. Hashmi <br />Council Members: Billie Lancaster; Aaron Jenkins; Billy Trenado; <br />Steve Clifford; Matt Frierson; and Cleonne Drake <br />City Staff: John Godwin, City Manager; Stephanie Harris, City <br />Attorney; Janice Ellis, City Clerk; Gene Anderson, <br />Finance Director; Carla Easton, City Engineer; <br />Pastor Judi Brandt gave the invocation. <br />3. Pledge of Allegiance. <br />Council Member Lancaster led the pledge. <br />4. Citizens' Forum. <br />Michael Glatfelter, 1345 SE 6h Street — he spoke about item #17 and said originally the <br />project cost was to have been $55,000 but it turned into $62,000 and no bids were taken. He also <br />said he did not recall the City Council voting on it. With regard to item #14, Mr. Glatfelter said <br />he was concerned about higher taxes. <br />Consent Agenda <br />Mayor Hashmi inquired of Council Members if they wished to pull any items from the <br />consent agenda for discussion.
