MINUTES <br />SPECIAL MEETING <br />CITY OF PARIS BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT <br />CITY OF PARIS - CITY HALL <br />COUNCIL CHAMBERS CONFERENCE ROOM <br />PARIS, TEXAS <br />TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 28, 2017 <br />12:00 O'CLOCK P.M. <br />The Board of Adjustment meeting was called to order by David Hamilton, Chairman at <br />12: 06 p. m. <br />A. The following members were present: David Hamilton, Louise Hagood, Jerry <br />Haning and Chris Fitzgerald (Alternate Board Member) <br />B. The following members were absent: Deanna Manning, Marilyn Smith and Mihir <br />"Mark" Pankaj (Alternate Board Member) <br />C. Also present was Carla Easton, City Engineer; Ashley Fendley, City Staff, <br />Stephanie Harris, City Attorney. <br />2. Approval of minutes from previous meetings. (February 21, 2017) <br />Motion was made by Louise Hagood, seconded by Jerry Haning to approve minutes for the <br />February 21, 2017 meeting, with corrections. Motion carried 4 -0. <br />3. Public hearing and consideration of and action on the petition of Michael Rhodes on Lot <br />IIA, City Block 257B, being located at 2531 Pine Bluff Street. Section 9 -102 (1) of the <br />Zoning Ordinance which provides that "The minimum lot area for a residential home in <br />Single Family Dwelling District No. 2 (SF -2) be 7,500 square feet. " The applicant is <br />proposing to subdivide the existing lot into two lots having 5824 Square Feet to 5824 <br />Square Feet respectively. A variance for 1676 Square Feet is requested for the lots. <br />4. Public hearing and consideration of and action on the petition of Michael Rhodes on Lot <br />IIA, City Block 257B, being located at 2531 Pine Bluff Street. Section 9- 301(1) of the <br />Zoning Ordinance which provides that "The minimum lot depth for a residential home in <br />Single Family Dwelling District No. 2 (SF -2) be 100 feet deep. " The applicant's property <br />is 91 feet deep. The applicant is asking for a 9 foot variance for the lot depth. Proposed lots <br />would be 91 feet deep. <br />David Hamilton, Chairman asked the applicant Michael Rhodes if he would like to move <br />forward with the request only having four board members present or to table the items until <br />a future meeting. Mr. Rhodes asked the board to table the items. Motion was made by Chris <br />Fitzgerald, seconded by Jerry Haning to approve the applicants request to table both items <br />
