Paris Visitors & Convention Council <br />Board of Directors Meeting <br />October 91h, 2015 <br />1:04 p.m. <br />Members Present: Eric Roddy, Jeff Martin, Tony Corso, Renee Harvey, Kenny Dority, Chad Lee Johnston, <br />Raju Patel, Carolyn Patterson and Mike Patterson. <br />Staff Present: Ken Higdon, Becky Semple <br />Eric Roddy called the meeting to order at 1:04p.m. <br />Jeff Martin reviewed the financials for September, 2015. Chad Lee Johnston made the motion to <br />approve, seconded by Mike Patterson. Motion passed. <br />Minutes were reviewed by Board, and Renee Harvey made the motion to approve, seconded by Raju <br />Patel. Motion passed. <br />Board Reviewed Funding Request: <br />Nosework Trials Doe Show sponsored by United Nosework to be held November 6th, 7th, and 8th, 2015 is <br />requesting $2500 funding. Their scoring came in at 60% and suggested funding was $1500. <br />Jeff Martin made the motion to approve funding, seconded by Kenny Dority. Motion passed. <br />"Festival of Pumpkins" sponsored by Paris Main Street to be held on Saturday, October 24th, 2015 is <br />requesting $2500 in funding. Their scoring came in at 52% with suggested funding of $1300. <br />Kenny Dority made the motion to approve funding, seconded by Mike Patterson. Motion passed. <br />Mad Max Mud Run sponsored by Lamar County Coalition of Education, Business and Industry to be held <br />on Saturday, October 17th, 2015 is requesting $2500 in funding. Their scoring came in at 48% and <br />suggested funding was $1200. Kenny Dority made the motion, seconded by Chad Lee Johnston. Motion <br />passed. <br />Ham Radio Day at Main Trading Company sponsored by Main Trading Company is requesting $2500 <br />funding. Their scoring came in at 74% and funding was suggested at $1850. <br />Mike Patterson made the motion, and seconded by Renee Harvey. Motion passed. <br />Ken Higdon discussed the printing for the Fire Brochure Self- Guided Tour of the Path of the Fire on <br />March 21St, 1916 — "The Day Paris Burned" for Tourism Events. <br />Printing of 2500 brochures would be under $350. Kenny Dority made the motion to approve, and <br />seconded by Jeff Martin. Motion passed. <br />Motion was made to adjourn by Mike Patterson, and seconded by Raju Patel. <br />Meeting adjourned at 1:40p.m. <br />
