Love Civic Center <br />Governing Board Minutes <br />Love Civic Center <br />June 9, 2016 <br />Present: Bobby Walters, Kern Wright, Randy Nation, Curtis Fendley, Jimmie Hopson, Linda Kapp, Pam <br />Anglin and Troy Scholl. <br />Staff: Ken Higdon, Becky Semple, Gina Crawford <br />Curtis Fendley called meeting to order at 4:04 pm. <br />A motion to approve the April minutes was made by Troy Scholl, seconded by Pam Anglin, all approved. <br />A motion to approve April and May financials was made by Linda Kapp, seconded by Jimmie Hopson, all <br />approved. <br />Randy Nation stated that we have a roof leak, and it will be repaired. <br />Ken Higdon reported that we have a bid for sound and video from Rockin L Music. The costs are about <br />$44015.98. This will be an action item on the August agenda. <br />Randy Nation said that we have quarterly maintenance set up for vents, bathrooms and halls. He also <br />said we are in need of new tables and if possible we need to put that in the budget. <br />Randy Nation gave an update on civic center bookings. In 2015, we had 88 bookings, as of today we are <br />at 94, for 2016. <br />Ken Higdon stated that we need a new logo and marketing pieces for the civic center. A motion to <br />approve was made by Troy Scholl, seconded by Pam Anglin, all approved. <br />A long range committee is still being looked at in the next month or so, Troy Scholl suggested using <br />concrete wash for the back pads and Randy Nation said that he checked into WIFI for the RV spaces and <br />the cost would be around $500. These items will go on August agenda for possible action. <br />The next meeting will be on August 11, 2016 <br />With nothing further, meeting was adjourned at 4:43 pm. <br />
