MINUTES <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />AIRPORT ADVISORY BOARD <br />COUNCIL CHAMBERS <br />107 E. KAUFMAN STREET <br />PARIS, TEXAS <br />THURSDAY, APRIL 20, 2017 <br />5:30 O'CLOCK PM <br />1. The Airport Advisory Board meeting was called to order by Paula Portugal, Chairman at <br />5:30 p.m. <br />A. The following members were present: Anna Spencer, Jim Noble, Dennis Ashby, <br />Matt Birch, Paula Portugal and Tim Bullock. <br />B. The following members were absent: Ray Ball <br />C. Also present: Carla Easton, City Engineer; Jerry Richey, Airport Manager; Sue <br />Lancaster, City Council and Ashley Fendley, City Staff. <br />2. Approval of minutes from previous meeting. (February 20, 2017) <br />Motion was made by Tim Bullock, seconded by Jim Noble to approve the minutes from <br />February 20, 2017 meeting. Motion carried 5 -0. <br />Matt Birch arrived at 5:32pm <br />3. Discussion regarding the status of the new hangar construction project. <br />Carla Easton, City Engineer stated that contractors are on site. At this time they are <br />moving dirt around. They have been delayed twice due to existing waterline issues and <br />geo -tech reports. Mrs. Easton further stated there has been a permit pulled for the <br />construction and hopefully they will be able to move forward with the project. <br />4. Discussion regarding the 2017 Wings Over Paris Event. <br />Ashley Fendley, City Staff provided several handouts to the board in regards to the Wings <br />Over Paris Event, Ms. Fendley stated that the first page of the handouts shows what the <br />Airshow shirts will look like. The second and third page shows the food concessionaires <br />and vendors that will be present at the Airshow. The fourth page is the last updated report <br />she received from the Chamber in regards to sponsorships. Ms. Fendley further stated the <br />last document is a map layout of the Airshow. Dennis Ashby asked if people would be <br />able to come and set up their planes at the Airshow. Ms. Fendley stated if anyone wanted <br />to set up their planes they would have to guard them.
