MINUTES OF THE REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS <br />May 15, 2017 <br />The City Council of the City of Paris met for a regular session at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, <br />May 15, 2017, at the City Council Chamber, 107 E. Kaufinan, Paris, Texas. <br />Present: Mayor: Steven Clifford <br />Council Members: Billie Lancaster; Aaron Jenkins; Billy Trenado; <br />Linda Knox; Cleonne Drake; and Paula Portugal <br />City Staff: John Godwin, City Manager; Stephanie Harris, City <br />Attorney; Janice Ellis, City Clerk; Gene Anderson, <br />Finance Director; Carla Easton, City Engineer; <br />Thomas McMonigle, Assistant Fire Chief; Clyde <br />Crews, Fire Marshal; Kent Klinkerman, EMS <br />Director; Doug Harris, Utilities Director; Alan <br />Efrussy, Planning Director; and Priscilla McAnally, <br />Library Director <br />Opening Agenda <br />1. Call meeting to order. <br />Mayor Hashmi called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m. <br />2. Invocation. <br />Gene Anderson gave the invocation. <br />3. Pledge of Allegiance. <br />Council Member Lancaster led the pledge. <br />4. A. Citizens' Forum. <br />Carol Hufnagel, 720 Bunker — she expressed her appreciation to Dr. Hashmi for his <br />dedication and sacrifice to the community while serving on the Council for six years. <br />Tim Bullock, 4025 Dawn — he said he was on the Airport Advisory Board and wanted to <br />thank John Godwin, the City and the Chamber for putting on an excellent fly -in. <br />Sue Lancaster, 1020 Bonham — she thanked the Council for allowing her to say the <br />pledge for nearly five years and said she hoped whoever gets that position will enjoy it as much <br />as she enjoyed it. <br />
