Call meeting to order -Glee Emmite, Acting Chairman at 4:36 pm <br />2. Citizens Forum- Presented Wine Fest Awards for Best Host to Paris Optical (Colton Wicks) and Best Food Vendor (Missy <br />and Nelson Miller). <br />3. Approval of minutes of April 11, 2017. Motion was made Randy Hider and seconded by Laurie Redus. Motion carried. <br />4. Main Street Manners updates - <br />Downtown TX- HPC is going to Host "Imagine the Possibilities" Meeting tomorrow to plan the event which will be held <br />May 20'h during Historic Preservation Month. Tour starts at Peoples Bank and there is a need for volunteer guides. <br />Vision and Mission Statement: <br />New Vision Statement "Our community will have an economically diverse and thriving downtown area that is a destination <br />that is a destination for locals and visitors." New Mission Statement "The Paris Main Street program will inspire and energize <br />a vibrant downtown community as the social, cultural, economic, and historic heart of our great city." These statements were <br />made in a motion by Laurie Redus & seconded by Shelley McDowell. Motion Carried. Resi nation -Leah Rolen submitted <br />her resignation from MSAB and Liasion to HPC. NAPC- July 26. 2017 we will host Training Day for NAPC <br />Main Street Board updates and project discussion- <br />Lighting on the Buildings -Funds from Pumpkin Patch will be given to the project estimated to cost $4,500. Motion was made <br />to approach the City Council for ongoing maintenance in Jan. Motion carried. <br />- -- Farmers Market Funding Event — name was discussed - two were submitted and will be sent to members to vote on name. - -- — <br />Market Square Affair or Fare at Market Square <br />6. Committee Liaison Reports— <br />a. HPC- Cheri Bedford- Due to Leah Rolen resignation on MSAB and HPC Liason — Glee Emmite was appointed as the new <br />liaison <br />b. Chamber & VCC -Becky Semple- Wings over Paris May 13`h and June Hwy82 and Junk in the Trunk- June 2 &3 <br />7. Future Agenda Items- Cleonne Drake to report on Operation Increase Occupancy & the defeated feedback from the City <br />Council 7 -0 <br />8. Motion to adjourn was made by Randy Hider seconded by Shelley McDowell.
