<br />RESOLUTION NO. 99-094 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Texas Parks & Wildlife Department provides funding for Texas <br />Recreation & Parks Account (TRPA) Program grants (Section 24 of the Parks & Wildlife Code) <br />for projects not to exceed $1,000,000.00; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris is desirous of processing a grant <br />application for the Heritage Park Project at an estimated cost of $224,400.00, with the cost being <br />paid 50% by the Texas Parks & Wildlife Department and 50% by a local match which may include <br />in-kind services, private donations, and funds; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Paris is fully eligible to receive assistance under the TRP A <br />Program; NOW, THEREFORE, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS: <br /> <br />I. That an application be made to the Texas Parks & Wildlife Department for a Texas <br />Recreation & Parks Account (TRPA) Program Grant in the amount of $112,200.00, being <br />approximately 50 % of the estimated cost of the Heritage Park Project, said total project cost being <br />$224,400.00, with the City of Paris providing $112,200.00 to include in-kind services, private <br />donations, and funds, which matching share for this application is readily available at this time. <br /> <br />2. That Michael E. Malone, City Manager, be, and he is hereby, appointed as the <br />Authorized Official of said project and is authorized and directed to execute, on behalf of the City <br />of Paris, the application for grant in the form attached hereto as Exhibit A. <br /> <br />3. That Terry Townsend, be, and he is hereby, appointed as Project Director and is hereby <br />authorized to execute and deliver, on behalf of the City of Paris, all reports, communications, <br />assurances, contracts, and documents necessary for the completion of said project. <br /> <br />4. That W. E. Anderson, Director of Finance, be, and he is hereby, authorized and <br />directed to serve as the Financial Officer for said project and to receive and distribute funds for <br />purposes of the Heritage Park Project. <br /> <br />5. That the site to be known as Heritage Park in the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, for use <br />as a park site, being a 4.028 acre tract located in the 1000 Block of Kaufman Street, is hereby <br />dedicated for a public park and recreation purposes in perpetuity . <br /> <br />PASSED AND ADOPTED this 27th day of July, 1999. <br /> <br />j <br /> <br /> <br />f/ <br /> <br /> <br />Charles H.
