<br />RESOLUTION NO. 99-029
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris is desirous of providing health care for
<br />the City of Paris employees at the most reasonable price available for adequate coverage; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, bids for the furnishing and delivery of (1) Term Life Insurance, (2) Stop-loss
<br />Insurance for its otherwise self-funded Medical/DentalIVision Program, (3) Third-Party
<br />Administration Services for the above coverage, (4) Maintenance Drug Program, and (5) Long
<br />Term Disability were received untillO:OO a.m" Friday, February 12, 1999; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the best bid for the furnishing and delivery of (1) Term Life Insurance, (2)
<br />Stop-loss Insurance for its otherwise self-funded MedicaIlDentalIVision Program, (3) Third-Party
<br />Administrative Services for the above coverage, (4) Maintenance Drug Program, and (5) Long
<br />Term Disability was made by the Texas Municipal League Group Benefits Risk Pool (TML-
<br />GBRP), and it was awarded the bid for the same on the 23rd day of February, 1999; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the form of the contract with the Texas Municipal League, attached hereto
<br />as Exhibit A, should, in all things, be approved, and the Mayor, Charles H, Neeley, should be
<br />authorized to execute the same; NOW, THEREFORE,
<br />
<br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, that the
<br />the form of the contract with the Texas Municipal League Group Benefits Risk Pool (TML-GBRP)
<br />for (1) Term Life Insurance, (2) Stop-loss Insurance for its otherwise self-funded
<br />Medical/DentalIVision Program, (3) Third-Party Administrative Services for the above coverage,
<br />(4) Maintenance Drug Program, and (5) Long Term Disability, attached hereto as Exhibit A, be,
<br />the same is hereby, approved; and,
<br />
<br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Mayor, Charles H, Neeley, be, and he is
<br />hereby, authorized and directed to execute, on behalf of the City of Paris, the contract with the
<br />Texas Municipal League, under the terms and conditions and in the form shown in Exhibit A,
<br />attached hereto.
