RESOLUTION NO. QQ-002 WHEREAS, the Texas Infrastructure Fund Board provides funding for non-competitive TIFB grants for public libraries to enhance existing base-level Internet connections; and, WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris is desirous of processing a grant application on behalf of the Paris Public Library to expand to three public access Internet workstations, said grant being in the amount of $7,600.00, requiring no matching funds; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS: 1. That an application be made to the Texas Infrastructure Fund Board for a TIFB grant in the amount of $7,600.00, requiring no matching funds. 2. That Beverly Lewis, Library Director, be, and she is hereby, appointed as the Authorized Official of said project and is authorized and directed to execute, on behalf of the City of Paris, the application for grant in the form attached hereto as Exhibit A. 3. That Ron Hervey, Electronic Reference Librarian, be, and he is hereby, appointed as Project Director and is authorized to execute and deliver, on behalf of the City of Paris, all reports, communications, assurances, and documents necessary for the completion of said project. 4. That W. E. Anderson, Director of Finance, be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to serve as the Financial Officer for said project and to receive and distribute funds for purposes of the Paris Public Library expanding to three public access Internet workstations.
