<br />RESOLUTION NO. QQ-007 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris considers the Post Office a vital part of <br />the downtown area and is strongly in favor of the Post Office relocating to a site which is in such <br />area; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council will assist the Postal Service in any way possible in <br />relocating to a downtown site, including considering all appropriate methods of establishing <br />desirable traffic patterns; NOW, THEREFORE, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, that the <br />City Council hereby declares its commitment to assist the Postal Service in relocating to a <br />downtown site; and, <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City hereby pledges its cooperation and <br />commitment in qualifying a downtown site for such relocation; and, <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Clerk, Mattie Cunningham, be, and she <br />is hereby, directed to furnish a copy of the Resolution to Ronnie Lester, Postmaster, Paris, Texas. <br /> <br />PASSED AND ADOPTED this 11th day of January, 1999. <br /> <br /> <br />Charles H.
