Paris Public Library Advisory Board <br />Meeting Minutes <br />May 17, 2017 <br />Opening: <br />The regular meeting of the Paris Public Library Advisory Board was called to order at 4:08 p.m. <br />Present: <br />Board members present were Fran Neeley, Connie Dodd, Carol James, Rebecca Umphrey, and director <br />Priscilla McAnally. Denise Kornegay, Michelle Cowling, and Daisy Harvill were absent. <br />Approval of Minutes <br />The minutes of the April meeting were unanimously approved as presented. <br />II. New Business: <br />The library's proposed budget for FY 2017 -18 was presented. The operating budget is <br />$205, 190 which is $8000 more than FY 2016 -17 but does include an $8000 payment <br />on the balance of the roof replacement. <br />III. Old Business: <br />We are awaiting an email from Lincoln Center Local with the instructions and link to <br />the application for booking and downloading the screenings. <br />IV. Presentations <br />A. Budget Report. <br />Spending is on track for this year. There were no budget concerns. <br />B. Statistical Report. Circulation and visits were down from April of last year. <br />V. Friends of the Library: <br />No report from the Friends this month. <br />VI. Director's Remarks <br />The director met with the Friends' co- chairs Amanda Green and Jeannie Walter about some <br />fundraising events specifically for the continued restoration/conservation of the library's art <br />work. <br />Next meeting — June 21, 2017 <br />Adjournment: Meeting was adjourned at 4:27 p.m. <br />Submitted by <br />Priscilla McAnally for Denise Kornegay, Secretary <br />
