The fire department shall not be deterred or <br />hindered from gaining immediate access to fire protection equipment or fire <br />hydrants." <br />Section 509.1, Identification, shall be amended to add Section 509.1.2, Sign <br />Requirements, as follows: <br />"509.1.2 Sign Requirements. Unless more stringent requirements <br />apply, lettering for signs required by this section shall have a minimum <br />height of 2 inches (50.8 mm) when located inside a building and 4 inches <br />(101.6 mm) when located outside, or as approved by the fire code official. <br />The letters shall be of a color that contrasts with the background." <br />In Section 603.3.2.1, Quantity Limits, the Exception shall be amended to read <br />as follows: <br />"Exception: The aggregate capacity limit shall be permitted to be <br />increased to 3,000 gallons (11,356 L) in accordance with all requirements of <br />Chapter 57." <br />Section 603.3.2.2, Restricted use and connection, shall be amended to read as <br />follows: <br />"603.3.2.2 Restricted Use and Connection. Tanks installed in <br />accordance with Section 603.3.2 shall be used only to supply fuel oil to fuel - <br />burning equipment installed in accordance with Section 603.3.2.4. <br />Connections between tanks and equipment supplied by such tanks shall be <br />made using closed piping systems." <br />Section 604, EMERGENCY AND STANDBY POWER SYSTEMS, shall be amended <br />to read as follows: <br />"604.1 General. Emergency power systems and standby power <br />systems required by this code or the International Building Code shall comply <br />with Sections 604.1.1 through 604.1.8. <br />"604.1.1 Stationary Generators. Stationary emergency and <br />standby power generators required by this code shall be listed in <br />accordance with UL 2200. <br />"604.1.2 Installation. Emergency power systems and standby <br />power systems shall be installed in accordance with the International <br />Building Code, NFPA 70, NFPA 110 and NFPA 111. Existing <br />installations shall be maintained in accordance with the original <br />approval, except as specified in Chapter 11." <br />17 <br />
