installed in accordance with Section 903.3.1.1 shall be limited to 50 percent <br />of the wall area. <br />"807.5.2.3 Artwork in Classrooms. Artwork and teaching materials <br />shall be limited on walls of classrooms to not more than 50 percent of the <br />specific wall area to which they are attached. Curtains, draperies, wall <br />hangings and other decorative material suspended from the walls or ceilings <br />shall meet the flame propagation performance criteria of NFPA 701 in <br />accordance with Section 807 or be noncombustible." <br />Sections 8075.5.2, Artwork in corridors, and 807.5.5.3. Artwork in classrooms, <br />shall be amended to read as follows: <br />"807.5.5.2 Artwork in Corridors. Artwork and teaching materials <br />shall be limited on the walls of corridors to not more than 20 percent of the <br />wall area _Such materials shall not be continuous from floor to ceiling or wall <br />to wall. Curtains, draperies, wall hangings and other decorative material <br />suspended from the walls or ceilings shall meet the flame propagation <br />performance criteria of NFPA 701 in accordance with Section 807 or be <br />noncombustible. <br />"Exception: Corridors protected by an approved automatic sprinkler <br />system installed in accordance with Section 903.3.1.1 shall be limited <br />to 50 percent of the wall area. <br />"807.5.5.3 Artwork in Classrooms. Artwork and teaching materials <br />shall be limited on walls of classrooms to not more than 50 percent of the <br />specific wall area to which they are attached. Curtains, draperies, wall <br />hangings and other decorative material suspended from the walls or ceilings <br />shall meet the flame propagation performance criteria of NFPA 701 in <br />accordance with Section 807 or be noncombustible." <br />Section 901.6.1, Standards, shall be amended to add Section 901.6.1.1, <br />Standpipe testing, as to read as follows: <br />"901.6.1.1 Standpipe Testing. Building owners /managers must <br />maintain and test standpipe systems as per NFPA 25 requirements. The <br />following additional requirements shall be applied to the testing that is <br />required every 5 years: <br />"1. The piping between the Fire Department Connection (FDC) and the <br />standpipe shall be backflushed when foreign material is present, and <br />also hydrostatically tested for all FDC's on any type of standpipe <br />system. Hydrostatic testing shall also be conducted in accordance with <br />NFPA 25 requirements for the different types of standpipe systems. <br />22 <br />
