<br />RESOLUTION NO. 99-045 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Texas Automobile Theft Prevention Authority provides funding for <br />automobile theft prevention grants; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris is desirous of processing a grant <br />application for the Automobile Theft Prevention Grant entitled "Northeast Texas Automobile Theft <br />Task Force" project beginning September 1, 1999, and ending August 31, 2000, in the amount <br />of $109,213.00, with $33,321.00 to be provided by the City of Paris in the form of cash and <br />$5,350.00 in the form of in-kind services; NOW, THEREFORE, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS: <br /> <br />1. That an application be made to the Texas Automobile Theft Prevention Authority <br />for an Automobile Theft Prevention Grant entitled "Northeast Texas Automobile Theft Task <br />Force" project beginning September 1, 1999, and ending August 31, 2000, in the amount of <br />$109,213.00, being approximately 74% of the estimated cost of the Automobile Theft Prevention <br />Program, with $33,321.00 to be provided by the City of Paris in the form of cash and $5,350.00 <br />in the form of in-kind services. <br /> <br />2. That Michael E. Malone, City Manager of the City of Paris, be, and he is hereby, <br />appointed as the Authorized Official of said project and is authorized and directed to execute, on <br />behalf of the City of Paris, the application for grant in the form attached hereto as Exhibit A. <br /> <br />3. That Karl Louis, Chief, Paris Police Department, be, and he is hereby, appointed <br />as Project Director and is hereby authorized and directed to execute and deliver, on behalf of the <br />City of Paris, all reports, communications, assurances, and documents necessary for the <br />completion of said project. <br /> <br />4. That W. E.
