Item No. 10 <br />memorandum <br />TO: John Godwin <br />City Manager <br />FROM: Larry Wright, Fire Chief <br />SUBJECT: RESOLUTION AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 2017-022 AND <br />REPEALING RESOLUTION NO. 2016-022 <br />DATE: July 17, 2017 <br />BACKGROUND: Two years ago we received a grant from the State Homeland Security for <br />equipment for a dive rescue project and designated A.J. Hashmi, Mayor as the authorized official <br />to sign documents. On June 26, 2017, the City Council approved Resolution No. 2017 -026 <br />changing the City's authorized official. <br />STATUS OF ISSUE: Grantor has requested changes to Resolution No. 2017 -026, to change the <br />name of the Grant to the Homeland Security Grant Division, to correct the grant number, to <br />authorize acceptance of Grant No. 3042901 for the City of Paris — Dive Team Project, and to <br />provide written assurances that in the event of the loss or misuse of grant funds, the City will <br />return all funds to the Homeland Security Grant Division. <br />BUDGET: N/A <br />RECOMMENDATION: Approve Resolution Repealing Resolution No. 2017 -026 and <br />Amending Resolution No. 2016 -022. <br />
