<br />COUNTY OF LAMAR

<br />CONTRACT
<br />
<br />THIS CONTRACT is made this 7th day of June, 1999, by and between the LAMAR
<br />COUNTY COALITION OF EDUCATION, BUSINESS, AND INDUSTRY, acting by and through
<br />the authorized official whose signature appears below, hereinafter referred to as COALITION, the
<br />CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, a municipal corporation, acting by and through its City Manager,
<br />Michael E. Malone, duly authorized, hereinafter referred to as CITY, and CASEY MILLS,
<br />hereinafter referred to as MILLS.

<br />WITNESSETH
<br />
<br />For and in consideration of the mutual covenants and agreements hereinafter contained, the
<br />parties hereto agree as follows:
<br />
<br />1. Effective June 7, 1999, MILLS agrees to provide services for Project SAVE (Sexual
<br />Abstinence Values Education), a Title V Abstinence Education Grant from the Texas
<br />Department of Health, Doc. #7524409087, and the Paris Public Library Mobile Library
<br />Summer Reading Service in accordance with the job description attached hereto as Exhibit
<br />A.
<br />
<br />2. The COALITION agrees to compensate MILLS at the rate of six dollars ($6.00) per hour for
<br />services provided hereunder, with the total compensation not to exceed two thousand four
<br />hundred dollars ($2,400.00).
<br />
<br />3. CITY agrees to accept the provision of such services provided hereunder by MILLS and
<br />compensated by the COALITION.
<br />
<br />4. MILLS understands and agrees that this is a temporary contract labor position and that this
<br />Contract shall be contingent on the continuation of funding from the Texas Department of
<br />Health to the COALITION.
<br />
<br />5. This Contract may be terminated by any party hereto after having given thirty (30) days
<br />written notice to the other parties.
<br />
<br />6. MILLS does hereby, for herself, her heirs, representatives, successors, agents, executors,
<br />administrators, and assigns forever release, discharge, and acquit the LAMAR COUNTY
<br />COALITION OF EDUCATION, BUSINESS, AND INDUSTRY and the CITY OF
<br />PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, their past, present, and future officers, elected officials,
<br />employees, agents, insurers, and attorneys of and from any and all claims, suits, actions,
<br />causes of action, demands, damages, costs, expenses, attorney's fees, and other
<br />compensation, whether property damage, personal injury, violation of constitutional or
