Your grant for additional officers will take the fonn of a "supplement" of additional funding to your previous COPS award. Enclosed is your supplemental awanl and a list of conditions that apply to your grant. You should read and fmniliarize yourseIfwith these conditions. The fmol awanl amount reflects the original amount of your COPS FAST, COPS AHEAD or UHP grant plus the award amount for the Univer.;al Hiring Award. In addition, dIe nwnber of officers includes the numoor awarded WIder a previous grant program. There are two methods of payment that you can use to access your grant funds: Phone Activated Paperless Request System (P APRS) and Letter of Credit Electronic Certification Systems (LaCES). An explanation of both the P APRS and LaCES methods of payment are provided in this awanl package. In emergency situations, you may use a Revised H-3 (Request for Payment fonn) ifit has been cleared with an Office of dIe Comptroller Accountant prior to submission We have enclosed a set of mailing labels for your convenience. You may use the laools to address any correspondance to our office. To accept your grant, please sign the grant awanl and return it to the COPS office at the address on the mailing laools, within 90 days. Failure to return the signed award doclUIlent in the 90 day period could resuh in withdrawl of the granting funding without notice from the COPS office.
