RESOLUTION NO. 99 -075 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris is in receipt of a petition from adjacent property owners requesting that 8th Street N.E. from the north boundary line of Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, north to the south boundary line of Hickory Street be closed; and, WHEREAS, it is deemed to be in the best interests of the citizens of Paris that such request for street closing be reviewed by the Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of Paris and that a recommendation be made to the City Council for final action; and, WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper that a public hearing be set before the Planning and Zoning Commission at 5:30 p.m., in the City Council Chamber, City Hall, Paris, Texas, on the 6th day of July, 1999; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, that the matter of closing 8th Street N.E. from the north boundary line of Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, north to the south boundary line of Hickory Street, be, and the same is hereby, referred to the Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of Paris for its recommendation; and, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a public hearing be held by and before the Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of Paris at 5:30 p.m., in the City Council Chamber, City Hall, Paris, Texas, on the 6th day of July, 1999, said public hearing to be held concerning the closing of said street.
