<br />~ <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 99-077 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris finds that the public interest and welfare <br />will be served by the adoption and establishment of a policy to guide the City regarding the matter <br />addressed in this resolution; NOW, THEREFORE, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, that <br /> <br />I. The policy of the City relative to the application of that part of Section 76 of the City Charter <br />which provides for improvements to be "authorized by the council to be executed directly by <br />a city department in conformity with detailed plans, specifications and estimates" shall be to <br />require any sub-contracts required for such work to be competitively bid if such competitive <br />bidding is required under Chapter 252 of the Local Government Code of the State of Texas, <br />as presently enacted and as may be amended. <br /> <br />2. This resolution shall be effective immediately, and shall apply to all projects initiated by the <br />City in the future.
