<br />RESOLUTION NO. qq-ORq <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did heretofore, on the 5th day of <br />February, 1998, in Resolution No. 98-017, authorize an application to be made to the Office of <br />the Governor, Criminal Justice Division, through the Ark-Tex Council of Governments, for the <br />Criminal Justice Planning Fund Grant; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Office of the Governor, Criminal Justice Division, has issued its Grant <br />Award entitled "Juvenile/Gang Officer Grant, No. SF-00-J21-14246," for the period beginning <br />September 1, 1999, and ending August 31,2000, ; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, acceptance of the same must occur within forty-five (45) days of the date of <br />said award, which occurred on June 21, 1999; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is deemed to be in the best interests of the citizens of Paris that the City <br />of Paris accept said Grant A ward for continuing a juvenile officer/juvenile gang officer in the City <br />of Paris; NOW, THEREFORE, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, that the <br />Criminal Justice Planning Fund Grant entitled "Juvenile/Gang Officer Grant, No. SF-00-J21- <br />14246," for the period beginning September 1, 1999, and ending August 31, 2000, in the total <br />amount of $8,491.00, requiring a matching contribution of $35,312.00, be, and the same is <br />hereby, accepted; and, <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Manager, Michael E. Malone, be, and he <br />is hereby, authorized and directed to execute, on behalf of the City of Paris, the Grant Acceptance <br />Notice under the terms and conditions and in the form shown in Exhibit A, attached hereto. <br /> <br />PASSED AND ADOPTED this 12th day of July, 1999. <br /> <br />d~N' ~ <br /> <br />Charles H.
