Paris —Lamar County Health District <br />400 West Sherman Street, Paris, Texas 75460 -5646 <br />Health District: (903) 785 -4561 <br />C Women, Infant and Children (WIC): (903) 784 -1411 <br />, "ULTH Da caw„ <br />Fax: (903) 737 -0978 <br />"'"""°�'""' www.paristamarhealth.com <br />Minutes of Regular Meeting <br />Paris - Lamar County Board of Health <br />The Paris - Lamar County Board of Health held a Regular meeting at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, March 20th, 2017. <br />Board members in attendance were Mr. Bill Collins, Dr. Rick Erickson, Mrs. Sharmila Franklin, Dr. Mark Gibbons, Mrs. Nancy <br />Stallings, Dr. Robert White, and Dr. Marc White. Others in attendance were Mrs. Gina Prestridge, Ms. Cheryl King, and Dr. <br />Amanda Green. <br />Mr. Collins called the meeting to order in open session at 5:35 p.m. <br />Dr. Erickson made the motion and was seconded by Dr. Gibbons to approve the minutes from the prior meeting. <br />All approved. <br />Mrs. Prestridge advised the board on the following items /subjects: <br />• Health Educator Positions - $185,000 for 5 years, effective 04/01/2017, 3 FTE, Sharmila Franklin, <br />and Jessica Crawford in Lamar County, and Allyson Pebsworth in Red River County, teaching <br />Adult Obesity. <br />• Board Member Positions — need to advertise in May or June for 2 board openings. Dr. Erickson's <br />and Sharmila Franklin's positions. <br />• Swimming Pool Inspection Updates — inspect public pools only, Contract with J. W. Jones, C.P.O. <br />to do approximately 20 annual inspections and any complaints. Pool School Training will be held <br />on April 6t' and a pool employee must attend. The fee for the training will be $65.00. <br />• Good Samaritan Clinic — Dr. Amanda Green advised that Dr. Strom works one night every week at <br />the Good Samaritan Clinic filling medication refills. Dr. Strom would like to merge with Paris -Lamar <br />County Health District, Good Samaritan Clinic is currently being charged $1,400. Monthly rent. <br />Dr. Gibbons made the motion and was seconded by Dr. R. White to not merge with the Good <br />Samaritan Clinic. All approved. <br />Dr. Amanda Green advised the board of the "Paris Walk with a Doc 2017" upcoming event to be held on <br />March 23rd at 6:00 p.m. at the Oak Park walking track at 2625 Bonham Street. <br />February reports — <br />o WIC Services 1,4406 clients served (90) drive thru <br />0 513 Clinical clients served <br />0 36 restaurant inspected with 1 complaint <br />0 6 septic systems inspected with 0 complaint and <br />0 0 rabies cases. <br />Total liability and equity is approximately $608,214. <br />The next regular meeting would be April 1711. 2017, at 5:30 p.m. at the Paris - Lamar County Health District. <br />Business to be discussed and possibly action taken on at next meeting: Mack Jones, Open Public Records Information <br />Request <br />Mr. Collins made the motion and was seconded by Dr. R.
