<br />INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT FOR <br />CONSULTING SERVICES <br /> <br />STATE OF TEXAS <br /> <br />) <br />) <br />) <br /> <br />KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS: <br /> <br />COUNTY OF LAMAR <br /> <br />THAT, the CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, a municipal corporation, acting by and <br /> <br />through its Mayor Pro Tem, Mary Ann Fisher, duly authorized, hereinafter called CITY, and the <br /> <br />PARIS INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT, acting by and through its Director of <br /> <br />Compensatory Education, Marilyn Nolan, duly authorized, hereinafter called PISD, do hereby <br /> <br />contract and agree as follows: <br /> <br />1. CITY agrees to provide the Drug Abuse Resistance Education (D.A.R.E.) Program <br />for students in pre-kindergarten through grade 5 on the Givens, Justiss, and Aikin <br />campuses. <br /> <br />2. Such program will be presented for one hundred eighty (180) days throughout the <br />1999-2000 school year, such days to be mutually agreed upon by CITY and PISD. <br /> <br />3. For and in consideration of the services described above, PISD agrees to pay to <br />CITY the sum of Seventeen Thousand Seven Hundred and no/IOO Dollars <br />($17,700.00). Such sum shall be paid out monthly during the months of September <br />1999, through May 2000. <br /> <br />4.
