<br />RESOLUTION NO. 2000-187
<br />
<br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS,
<br />PARIS, TEXAS, REAPPOINTING DR. GORDON B. STROM, JR., DR.
<br />CAROLINE WILSON, MRS. ROBERT NORMENT, DR. ED CLARK, AND
<br />APPOINTING BYRON MUSE AS MEMBERS OF THE PARIS-LAMAR
<br />COUNTY BOARD OF HEALTH; MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND
<br />PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND PROVIDING AN
<br />EFFECTIVE DATE.
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the terms of office of Dr. Gordon B. Strom, Jr., Dr. Caroline Wilson, Mrs_
<br />Robert Norment, Dr. Ed Clark, and Rev, Samuel Evans, as members of the Paris-Lamar County
<br />Board of Health, will expire on December 31,2000; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the Mayor of the City of Paris, with the advice of the County Judge of Lamar
<br />County, Texas, does hereby recommend the reappointment of Dr. Gordon B, Strom, Jr" Dr. Caroline
<br />Wilson, Mrs_ Robert Norment, Dr. Ed Clark, and the appointment of Byron Muse, for terms of two
<br />(2) years, beginning January 1, 2001, and ending December 31,2002; NOW, THEREFORE,
<br />
<br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS,
<br />TEXAS, AND THE COMMISSIONERS COURT OF THE COUNTY OF LAMAR:
<br />
<br />Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby in all things
<br />approved,
<br />
<br />Section 2. That Dr. Gordon B, Strom, Jr., Dr. Caroline Wilson, Mrs, Robert Norment, Dr.
<br />Ed Clark, be, and they are hereby, reappointed, and Byron Muse be, and he is hereby, appointed to
<br />serve as members of the Paris-Lamar County Board of Health for terms of two (2) years, beginning
<br />January 1, 2001, and ending December 31,2002,
<br />
<br />Section 3. That this resolution shall be effective from and after its date of passage.
<br />
