Paris Visitors & Convention Council <br />Board of Directors Meeting <br />May 17, 2017 <br />4:00 pm <br />Members Present: Bryan Hargis, Mary Lou Coe, Josh Bray, Derald Bulls, Mike Patel, James Wyatt, Jeff Nutt and Lisa Walker. <br />Staff Present: Ken Higdon, Gina Crawford, and Becky Semple. <br />Lisa Walker called the meeting to order at 4:02 pm. <br />A motion to approve the April minutes was made by Bryan Hargis, seconded by lames Wyatt. Motion passed unanimously. <br />A motion to approve the financials was made by Mary Lou Coe, seconded by Derald Bulls. Motion passed unanimously. <br />A funding request from Paris Antique Fair was presented. They were asking for $2500. A motion to approve $1300 was made <br />by Mary Lou Coe, seconded by Bryan Hargis. Motion passed unanimously. <br />A funding request from Oktoberfest. They were asking for $2500. A motion to approve $1200 was made by Derald Bulls, <br />seconded by Bryan Hargis. Motion passed unanimously. <br />A funding request from American Association of Meat Processors was presented. They were asking for $2500. A motion to <br />approve $2000 was made by Mary Lou Coe, seconded by Mike Patel. Motion passed unanimously <br />A motion to approve $2500 for Wings over Paris was made by James Wyatt, seconded by Mary Loue Coe. Motion passed <br />unanimously. <br />The bylaws were tabled. <br />Becky Semple presented advertising in the Adventure Outdoors Magazine. A motion to spend up to $3500, with editorial <br />content being approved, was made by Jeff Nutt, seconded by Mary Lou Coe. Motion passed unanimously. <br />Ken Higdon presented a marketing video and photo production. This was tabled. James Wyatt will get information to Ken <br />Higdon. <br />Becky Semple gave the directors report. She reported about the past and upcoming events. <br />Ken Higdon stated that we have had several phone interviews and next step is to have an in person. Lisa Walker suggested a <br />personality test and background check. He also stated that the bicycles have been ordered and shipped. We are waiting on <br />Earl Erickson to give information on the Trail de Paris signage. <br />Next meeting will be on June 21, 2017 <br />With nothing further, meeting was adjourned at 5:00 pm. <br />Respectfully submitted <br />Becky Semple <br />
