<br />RESOLUTION NO. 2000-149 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, <br />PARIS, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A PURCHASE <br />ORDER FOR ONE (1) TOOL MASTER WHEEL LOADER AND <br />ACCOMPANYING GRAPPLE RAKE FOR THE STREET DIVISION OF <br />THE PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT THROUGH THE HOUSTON. <br />GALVESTON AREA COUNCIL OF GOVERNMENTS; MAKING OTHER <br />FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND <br />PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Paris has been a member of the Cooperative Purchasing Program <br />through the Houston-Galveston Area Council of Governments since October 1,1990; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is deemed appropriate that the City of Paris purchase a new Hyundai <br />HL740TM-3 Wheel Loader and accompanying Werk-Brau Model WL2GR102-H Grapple Rake for <br />the Street Division ofthe Public Works Department through said Houston-Galveston Area Council <br />of Governments; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is further deemed appropriate that the City Manager be authorized to execute <br />a purchase order for one (1) Hyundai HL740TM-3 Wheel Loader and accompanying Werk-Brau <br />Model WL2GRI02-H Grapple Rake for a total purchase price of $88,292.17, which represents the <br />cost ofthe wheel loader and grapple rake in the amount of $86,859.00, plus the cost of the Houston- <br />Galveston Area Council of Governments fee, which is $1,433.17; NOW, THEREFORE, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, <br />TEXAS: <br /> <br />Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby in all things <br />approved. <br /> <br />Section 2. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to execute, <br />on behalf of the City of Paris, a purchase order for one (1) Hyundai HL740TM-3 Wheel Loader and <br />accompanying Werk-Brau Model WL2GR102-H Grapple Rake for the Street Division of the Public <br />Works Department, for a total purchase price of $88,292.17, which represents the cost of the wheel <br />loader and grapple rake in the amount of $86,859.00,plus the cost of the Houston-Galveston Area <br />Council of Governments fee, which is $1,433.17. <br /> <br />Section 3.
