Sokoll, City Manager <br /> <br />As the Director of Public Works I oversaw the operation and administrative activities <br />of the Engineering, Building Inspection, Street Maintenance and Central Garage <br />departments for the City of Waxahachie. Specific duties and responsibilities include: <br />Contract Administration and inspection of all Capital Improvement and <br />Public Works projects for the City of Waxahachie and the Ellis County Water <br />Control and Improvement District Number One. <br />Provided technical engineering advice to the City Council, appointed boards <br />and the City Manager. <br />Review of Public Works ordinances and preparation of revisions as needed. <br />Performed feasibility studies on the water and wastewater treatment facilities <br />and distribution and collection systems. <br />Established design manuals and specifications for street, drainage and water <br />utility construction. <br />Represented the City of Waxahachie at board and commission meetings and <br />at various civic functions. <br />Maintained records, contract documents and construction plans of all Public <br />Works projects. <br />Administration of Flood Plain Ordinance. <br /> <br />Developed feasibility study responsible for voter approval of $9,000,000 in Street <br />and Drainage Bonds and $4,200,000 in Water System Improvement Bonds in 1993. <br /> <br />I completed or had under construction approximately eighteen (18) Water Utilities <br />improvement projects and twenty-four (24) Public Works improvement projects <br />having a total construction cost in excess of $20,000,000. Most notable projects are: <br />Rehabilitation of the South Prong Dam ($3,225,000) <br />Dunlap-Parks Area Street & Drainage Improvements ($925,000) <br />Munchus-Getzendaner Area Street & Drainage Improvements ($1,119,000) <br />Water Treatment Plant Improvements ($4,055,300) <br />Ferris - Kirksey Street Improvements ($498,730) <br />Raw Water Pump Station No.2 ($995,700) <br />East Side Water Line (24"RCCP) ($1,014,305) <br />
