RESOLUTION NO. 2000-170 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF SIX (6) NEW MODEL YEAR 2001 3/4 TON PICKUP TRUCKS THROUGH THE HOUSTON-GALVESTON AREA COUNCIL OF GOVERNMENTS; AUTHORIZING Pl:1RCHASE ORDERS; MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City of Paris has been a member of the Cooperative Purchasing Program through the Houston-Galveston Area Council of Governments since October 1, 1990; and, WHEREAS, it is deemed appropriate that the City of Paris purchase six (6) 2001 H.D. 3/4 Ton Reg. Cab L.WB-8600#GVW pickup trucks through said Houston-Galveston Area Council of Governments; and, WHEREAS, it is further deemed appropriate that the City Manager be authorized to execute a purchase order for six (6) 2001 H.D. 3/4 Ton Reg. Cab L.WB-8600#GVW pickup trucks from Triangle Chevrolet, Inc. for various divisions of the Public Works Department for a total purchase price of $122,107,42; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS: Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby in all things approved, Section 2. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to execute, on behalf of the City of Paris, a purchase order with the Houston-Galveston Area Council of Governments for six (6) 2001 H.D. 3/4 Ton Reg. Cab L.WB-87600#GVW pickup trucks from Triangle Chevrolet, Inc. for various divisions of the Public Works Department for a total purchase price of $122,107.42. Section 3.
