B. No one spoke in opposition. Public hearing was declared closed. Motion was made by Chad Lindsey, seconded by John Lee to approve the petition. Motion carried 7-0. 5. Public hearing to consider and take action regarding the petition of Lawrence Thompson for a change in zoning from Single -Family Dwelling District No. 2 (SF -2) to a Single -Family Dwelling District No. 2 (SF -2) with a Specific Use Permit #46 (Recreational Facility- Private), on Sperry's I S` Addition, Block 2, Lot North PT 1, being located at 2815 West Campbell Street. Public hearing was declared open. A. No one spoke in favor. B. Two individuals spoke in opposition. Caroline Briley, 2510 W. Campbell Street, Paris, Texas, spoke in opposition. Ms. Briley stated she had concerns that it would not stay maintained like other recreation facilities close to the area. Alice Hearn, 795 28th Street N.W. Paris, Texas, spoke in opposition. Ms. Hearn stated she had concerns about the noise and maintenance. Public hearing was declared closed. Motion was made by Keith Flowers, seconded by John Lee to table the petition. Motion carried 6-1, with James O'Bryan casting the dissenting vote. 6. Public hearing to consider the Site Plan for Liberty National Bank on Lot 4-B, City Block 286, being located at 140 North Collegiate Drive. Alan Efrussy, Planning Manager reviewed the Site Plan with the commissioners. Motion was made by Chad Lindsey, seconded by John Lee to approve the Site Plan with recommendations. Motion carried 7-0. 7. Consideration of and action on the Preliminary Plat of Lot 1, Block A, Advantage Storage Addition, located in the 3100 Block of FM 1497 (3''d Street S.E.). Carla Easton reviewed the preliminary plat with commissioners. Motion was made by Keith Flowers, seconded by John Lee to approve the preliminary plat with recommendations. Motion carried 7-0.
