<br />Section 3. That Michael E. Malone, City Manager, be, and he is hereby, appointed <br />as the authorized official of said project and is authorized and directed to execute, on behalf of <br />the City of Paris, the application for grant in the form attached hereto as Exhibit A. <br /> <br />Section 4. That Terry Townsend, Director of Public Works, be, and he is hereby, <br />appointed as project director and is hereby authorized to execute and deliver, on behalf of the City <br />of Paris, all reports, communications, assurances, contracts, and documents necessary for the <br />completion of said project. <br /> <br />Section 5. That W. E. Anderson, Director of Finance , be, and he is hereby, authorized <br />and directed to serve as the financial officer for said project and to receive and distribute funds <br />for purposes of the Heritage Park Project. <br /> <br />Section 6. That the site to be know as Heritage Park in the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, <br />for use as a park site, being an approximately four (4) acre tract located in the 1000 block of <br />Kaufman Street, is hereby in all things confirmed and rededicated as a public park for historical, <br />public park, and recreational purposes for current and future generations to enjoy in perpetuity. <br /> <br />Section 7. That the Mayor, City Manager, City Attorney, Public Works Director, <br />Finance Director, and all other appropriate City staff, be, and the same are hereby authorized and <br />directed to initiate any and all actions necessary, and that the City Council likewise join, in <br />imploring the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department to consider favorably the request of the City <br />of Paris for grant funds in furtherance of this most worthwhile and necessary project. <br /> <br />PASSED AND APPROVED this 27th day of July, 2000. <br /> <br />~~~/J?p.d- <br />Michael J.
