C. 988 W Sherman; City Block 131, Lot 25 <br />Owner: M E Darnell Sr, 961 W Sherman, Paris TX 75460 <br />Robert Talley stated 4 properties (3.C.,D.,E., and F.) being brought back to BSC. <br />Owner was given 90 days to clean up property, which has not happened. <br />Looking at pictures taken today, same junk and rubbish is on property. <br />Robert Talley's recommendation: No action; let order stand which will <br />allow the city to clean up. <br />Gary Waite, Attorney for Mr. Darnell — Is the zoning light or heavy industrial? <br />Robert — Believe it's always been light industrial. <br />Mr. Waite — Mr. Darnell has worked on some of the other properties. Brush has <br />been removed from this property. City can also remove items placed on its <br />leased property. This has already begun, at the cost of $30,000 to the city to <br />date. <br />Mr. Waite — Stated items that have been moved to date. Items on railroad <br />property were placed there temporarily until owner could get them removed <br />permanently. Due to rain, has gotten forklift stuck several times. Railroad <br />property is in dispute due to a quit claim deed. <br />Commission questions. <br />Q — How long has property been in dispute? <br />A — Since about 1995. <br />Q — When did the city lease this property? <br />A — About 5 or 6 years ago. <br />
