RESOLUTION NO. 2000-117 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, APPROVING CHANGE ORDER NO. ONE TO THE CONTRACT BETWEEN THE CITY OF PARIS AND HARRISON, WALKER & HARPER, LP FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF A METAL BUILDING FOR FIRE STATION NO. TWO; MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did heretofore, on the 10th day of April, 2000, in Resolution No.2000-046, award the contract for the construction of a metal building for the "Fire Station No. Two, located at 4050 Pine Mill Road Project" to Harrison, Walker & Harper, LP; and, WHEREAS, the City Engineer, acting as project engineer, recommends the amendment of the contract for said Fire Station No.2 project to alter the contract as shown on Change Order No. One, attached hereto as Exhibit A, and providing for a net decrease of $1,900.00 in the contract price; and, WHEREAS, the form of Change Order No. One, attached hereto as Exhibit A, should, in all things, be approved, and the Mayor should be authorized to execute the same; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS: Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble of this resolution are hereby in all things approved. Section 2. That the form of Change Order No. One to the contract between the City of Paris and Harrison, Walker & Harper, LP for the construction of a metal building for the "Fire Station No. Two, located at 4050 Pine Mill Road Project," attached hereto as Exhibit A, to alter the contract as shown on said Change Order No. One and providing for a net decrease of $1,900.00 in the contract price, be, and the same is hereby, approved. Section 3. That the Mayor be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to execute, on behalf of the City of Paris, said Change Order No. One, upon the terms and conditions and in the form shown in Exhibit A, attached hereto. Section 4. That this resolution shall be effective from and after its date of passage.
